Journey

Morning & Afternoon
Your guide and driver greet you at Noi Bai International Airport and escort you to your hotel in the heart of Hanoi. Take some time to rest and settle in before your evening adventure.

Evening
As the city lights begin to twinkle, dive into the culinary heartbeat of Hanoi with a local street food expert. Stroll through hidden lanes of the Old Quarter, where vendors grill, steam, and fry their specialties right before your eyes.
Taste signature dishes such as Bun Cha (grilled pork noodles made famous by President Obama’s Hanoi visit), fresh spring rolls, grilled skewers, and Vietnamese rice wine. For dessert, sample sweet mixed fruits with crushed ice and condensed milk—a local favorite.

End the evening with a Water Puppet Show at Thang Long Theatre, a traditional art form dating back over a thousand years. Return to your hotel or continue exploring Hanoi by night.

Overnight in Hanoi

Morning
After breakfast, depart for Duong Lam Ancient Village, about 44 km west of Hanoi. This UNESCO-recognized heritage village, often called the “land of two kings,” is the birthplace of King Ngo Quyen and King Phung Hung.

  • Stroll through Mong Phu Village Gate, the symbol of Duong Lam’s timeless charm.
  • Visit Mong Phu Communal House, built in 1684 and still hosting village festivals.
  • Step into centuries-old laterite brick homes and meet local families who still make soy sauce, green tea, and traditional rice cakes.
  • Visit Ngo Quyen and Phung Hung Temples, dedicated to two of Vietnam’s greatest national heroes.

Enjoy lunch in a local family home built of wood and laterite, surrounded by the peaceful rhythm of rural life.

Afternoon
Continue your cultural exploration at Thay Pagoda, one of Vietnam’s most beautiful and significant spiritual sites. Built in the 11th century, this pagoda honors monk Tu Dao Hanh, a legendary figure of Buddhism and water puppet art. Walk across ancient arched bridges, enjoy the mountain backdrop, and absorb the tranquil atmosphere.

Next, visit Van Phuc Silk Village, a 1,000-year-old weaving community near Ha Dong. Learn how local artisans produce silk using both ancient handlooms and modern techniques. Shop for authentic Ha Dong silk products—scarves, dresses, handbags, and ties—renowned for their elegant sheen and vibrant colors.

Return to Hanoi for a free evening to explore Hoan Kiem Lake or the night market.

Overnight in Hanoi

Spend your last morning soaking up Hanoi’s charm. Visit the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum and the historic Hoa Lo Prison, learning about the city’s complex history and artistic heritage. Depending on your flight schedule, enjoy free time for shopping before your transfer to Noi Bai Airport for departure.

Your cultural journey through Hanoi’s living traditions comes to an end—but the memories of its timeless crafts and flavors will last a lifetime.
