Journey

Arrive at Noi Bai International Airport, where your local photography guide warmly welcomes you. Transfer to your hotel in the heart of Hanoi. Early check-in is subject to availability; standard check-in begins at 14:00.

In the afternoon, jump into Hanoi’s rhythm with a guided photo walk through the lively Old Quarter, capturing its maze of hidden alleyways, colonial architecture, and bustling street life. Continue to the iconic Long Bien Bridge, a French engineering marvel and a prime spot for candid shots of daily life from above.

After a brief rest, enjoy a welcome dinner of Northern Vietnamese cuisine at a handpicked local restaurant.

After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Quang Phu Cau Village, famous for its traditional incense craft. Capture vibrant scenes of colorful incense sticks laid out in stunning geometric patterns—a visual feast for photographers.

Continue to Ninh Binh, a land of lush rice fields and towering karst mountains. After lunch, visit the peaceful Bich Dong Pagoda, then explore the historic Hoa Lu Ancient Capital, Vietnam’s political center in the 10th century.

Board a sampan boat and glide through serene canals to Tam Coc (Three Grottos)a breathtaking river journey through limestone peaks, often called “Halong Bay on land.”

End the day with a quiet walk to Thai Vi Temple for an exclusive portrait session with elder temple guards in traditional attirea culturally rich and moving experience.

Overnight in Ninh Binh.

After breakfast, set off on a scenic 6-hour drive to Nghia Lo, a peaceful town nestled in the valleys of Yen Bai Province. The journey offers a rich tapestry of rural life—winding through quiet villages, lush rice fields, and misty mountain roads.

Enjoy spontaneous photo stops along the way to capture authentic countryside scenes and the daily rhythm of local life.

Arrive in Nghia Lo by late afternoon, check into your accommodation, and relax in this tranquil highland setting.

After breakfast, drive toward the serene valley of Tu Le, where the scent of ripening rice fills the air. This peaceful region is blanketed with vast terraced fields and winding streams, offering incredible photo opportunities.

Continue to Mu Cang Chai, Vietnam’s premier destination for terraced rice field photography (approx. 2 hours).

In the afternoon, explore the area’s most photogenic icons:

  • La Pan Tan – known for its layered, sweeping terraces

  • Mam Xoi Hill – a rounded mound resembling a sticky rice tray

  • Horseshoe Hill (Sang Nhu Village) – a dramatic curved terrace formation

  • Lao Chai Village – where culture and mountain views meet

Note: Accessing Mam Xoi and Horseshoe Hill may require a local motorbike ride (“Xe Ôm”) or short walk, depending on trail conditions.

If time and energy allow, head out for an optional sunset shoot over the golden terracesa stunning end to a spectacular day.

Dinner and overnight in Mu Cang Chai.

Start early with a visit to Kim Noi Village, where the soft morning light illuminates traditional homes and terraced fields—a peaceful scene perfect for your lens. After lunch, depart for Sapa on a 4-hour scenic drive through the Hoang Lien Son Mountains. Along the way, stop to photograph the lush tea plantations of Than Uyen, the striking peak of Mount Chu Va, and the awe-inspiring Tam Ton Pass—a gateway to the clouds offering one of the most spectacular mountain panoramas in Vietnam.

Start your day at the vibrant Bac Ha Sunday Market, one of Northern Vietnam’s most colorful and culturally rich highland markets. Here, you’ll encounter a dazzling mix of ethnic groups—Flower H’mong, Phu La, Black Dao, Tay, and Nung—all in distinct, traditional dress.

Wander through bustling lanes filled with hand-embroidered textiles, herbal remedies, livestock, and handmade goods. More than a market, it’s a cultural gathering full of music, laughter, and local stories.

After lunch at a local eatery, drive 3 hours to Phung Village in Hoang Su Phi, home to some of Vietnam’s most dramatic rice terraces. Arrive in time for a sunset photo session, capturing the terraced mountains aglow in golden light.

Overnight at a warm, rustic homestay, ideally located for early morning sunrise photography.

Begin your day with a sunrise photo session over the mist-shrouded terraced mountains of Hoang Su Phi, a National Heritage Site. As dawn breaks over the paddies, you’ll capture ethereal landscapes bathed in golden light.

After breakfast, explore three of the region’s most photogenic villages:

  • Phung Village – perched high with panoramic views of steep terraces

  • Ban Luoc Village – home to the Dao and H’mong, surrounded by sweeping curved terraces

  • Nam Ty Village – where mountain life and traditional homes blend harmoniously with nature

Arrive in Hanoi late afternoon. In the evening, enjoy a farewell dinner celebrating the unforgettable moments and stunning images captured on your adventure.

DAY 10: Hanoi – Flight to Da Nang – Discover the Charm of Hoi An (B, D)

After breakfast, transfer to Noi Bai Airport for your 10:30 AM flight to Da Nang. Upon arrival, enjoy a scenic drive to the enchanting town of Hoi An.

After lunch, explore Hoi An Ancient Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its centuries-old architecture and atmospheric streets. Begin your photo walk at the iconic Yellow Wall Alley, one of the most photographed spots in town. Then, hop on a bicycle to wander the quiet ancient streets at soft morning light, capturing local scenes perfect for storytelling photography.

In the afternoon, choose your own adventure:

  • Cycle through rice paddies and countryside

  • Browse antique shops and galleries

  • Relax at a sidewalk café

  • Unwind on the soft sands of Cua Dai Beach

As night falls, join a special 2-hour Night Photography Walk through lantern-lit streets of the Old Town. Capture the magical glow of lanterns, glowing storefronts, and riverside reflections, honing your low-light photography skills in a truly unforgettable setting.

Dinner and overnight in Hoi An.

Rise early for a unique photography adventure with Hoi An’s fishing community. At 5:00 AM, meet your trusted local guide, Mr. Huyen, and head to a nearby fishing village just 10 km from Ancient Town.

At dawn, capture fishermen hauling catches, women sorting fresh seafood, and lively early-morning markets buzzing with life. Afterward, enjoy a local breakfast before visiting a traditional fish sauce factory and a boatyard where craftsmen build wooden vessels—all explored on foot for spontaneous photo moments. Return to your hotel by 9:30 AM.

After lunch, depart for Hue (approx. 3-hour drive), the former imperial capital. In the afternoon, visit Thuy Xuan Village, famous for incense stick and conical hat making. Photograph the meticulous crafting of sandalwood and cinnamon incense and the delicate weaving of Hue’s iconic non la hats. Start your final day with an early visit to Dam Chuon Village, a peaceful corner of the Tam Giang Lagoon. After breakfast, transfer to Phu Bai Airport for your flight back to Hanoi (Noi Bai Airport), marking the end of your unforgettable photo journey.
